Modified PTFE Rod – Reinforced Performance for Demanding Applications

Product Overview

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is widely recognized for its exceptional chemical resistance, low friction, and superior sealing capabilities. However, pure PTFE suffers from poor creep resistance, especially under continuous mechanical load or elevated temperatures. This drawback can lead to long-term leakage or deformation, particularly in sealing and dynamic applications.

To overcome this, modified PTFE rods are engineered by incorporating fillers such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, graphite, bronze, and polyimide. These reinforcements dramatically improve creep resistance, wear resistance, and dimensional stability, without compromising the base PTFE's excellent chemical properties.

At Taigorr, we produce a wide range of modified PTFE rods with tailored filler systems to meet the diverse needs of industries such as chemical processing, fluid control, aerospace, and heavy machinery.
